## Dental Anatomy & Terminology

**Course Description**

Whether you’re new to dentistry or just want to take a refresher course on dental anatomy and terminology, this course is for you.  This pre-recorded course is packed with valuable information for anyone working in a dental practice. With our two part course you will learn the basic fundamentals of dentistry. 

Discover the most common dental terms, dental anatomy and dental terminology. Enjoy reviewing the different dental specialities, dental terminologies and the basic anatomical positions details about the cranial, gingiva and the oral cavity anatomy. Having this knowledge will enable you to better understand dental procedures, proper documentation on your insurance claims and what is needed to succesfully appeal insurance claims.

**Course Objectives**

**After the course attendees will:**

1. Have working knowledge of the most common dental terminology used in a dental practice
2. Understand the reason for the treatment and recognize why the code you bill and supportive documents you send with the claim are important for insurance reimbursements
3. Be able to identify each of the (12 recognized by the ADA) dental specialities in dentistry
4. Refer to the downloadable terminology reference sheet and specialist study guide
