ICD-10-CM: Applying Diagnostic Codes to the Dental Claim

Course Description:

Claim rejections are especially common when it comes to ICD-10-CM diagnostic codes. Many plans such as Medicare Advantage, Affordable Care Act (ACA), and Medicaid plans are requiring the application of ICD-10-CM codes on the dental claim. 

In addition, select dental plans require a diagnosis code for certain procedures such as bone grafting. This course will help you be successful in learning how to document for, select and apply accurate diagnoses codes to the dental claim. 

You will have downloadable handouts that will help you with your ICD-10-CM requirements.  After you have completed the course you will assess your completed course knowledge with a quiz and obtain your CE (1) one hour.

2. Demonstrate how to document for specific details as required
3. Understand and determine the proper ICD-10-CM code or codes
4. Apply ICD-10-CM codes to a dental claim form properly
