Choosing the right RCM company is the first step toward financial freedom

To recap, we’ve compared the following factors of DCS and Dental Revenue Group:

  • Years in business
  • Location of the main office
  • Company founders (dentists, office managers, etc.)
  • What kind of customers they serve
  • Which services are offered
  • Pricing structure
  • Google reviews by clients and customers
  • Glassdoor reviews by employees and staff

DCS and Dental Revenue Group offer similar services, with DCS also offering patient billing and oral surgery billing as additional services. Dental Revenue Group also offers scheduling services, which DCS does not do, as we believe that is a crucial part of your in-house team’s role. Where Dental Revenue Group offers dental billing audits, DCS offers 1:1 consulting.

Dental Revenue Group has been around a few years longer than DCS — 4 years older to be exact. But DCS serves a wider variety of dental businesses, including DSOs and emerging dental groups, while Dental Revenue Group serves only private practices.

Dental Revenue Group has a commendable customer rating of 4.7 of 5 stars, while DCS boasts an even higher customer rating of 4.9 of 5 stars. We weren’t able to glean anything about Dental Revenue Group’s employee experience because they are not yet listed on Glassdoor.

These comparison factors will give you an idea of what you can expect from the services of an RCM company, and also their customer experience, which is key. You’ll learn more when you get in touch with a sales representative.

When you talk with sales representatives at either company, consider the following questions to inform your final decision:

  • Was the company’s sales representative easy to get in touch with?
  • How did the conversation with the sales representative go?
    • Were they pushy?
    • Did they ask you any questions about your dental business?
    • Are they transparent about pricing?
  • What does the company’s RCM process look like?
  • Did you understand what the role of your in-house team would be?
  • Will you continue to communicate with a real person if you work with this RCM company?

You can tell a lot about a company based on your initial conversation with a sales representative. If the experience is anything less than positive, that company is probably not the right match for you.

You need an RCM company whose customers trust them, like ours at DCS:

“I would recommend DCS to any office who wants to have extra time to devote to their patients, while working side by side with a company that is extremely knowledgeable in the nuances of dental insurance. They are top-notch!”
