In an upcoming Dental Claims Academy webinar, we will be discussing ICD-10-CM and applying diagnostic codes to dental claims. Claim rejections happen all the time, that’s why it’s important to always be learning about how to avoid this so that your practice can get paid quicker!

Claim rejections are especially common when it comes to ICD-10-CM diagnostic codes. Many plans such as Medicare Advantage, Affordable Care Act (ACA), and Medicaid plans are requiring the application of ICD-10-CM codes on the dental claim.

In addition, select dental plans require a diagnosis code for certain procedures such as bone grafting. This course will help you be successful in learning how to document for, select and apply accurate diagnoses codes to the dental claim.

Learning objectives:

  • Demonstrate how to document for specificity
  • Learn how to select an ICD-10-CM code
  • Apply ICD-10-CM codes to a dental claim form
